The day started out perfectly by hearing such a powerful message at church. The preacher definitely challenged us but it was so sweet. He started out by asking us "What do you want for Christmas?". We all know we answer with materialistic things. He put us back on track to remembering what Christmas is truly about.
Christmas = eternal life.
Bam. That's it. Everyone needs a reminder that Christmas is so much more than shopping & presents. Jesus came. He redeemed us. HE SET US FREE! Ah. I could go on & on about this sermon. The preacher ended the sermon by asking us "What does God want for Christmas?". Of course the answer is He wants you! And that is ALL He wants. The only thing on His list is YOU. Sweet reminder.
Then I had a 3 hour drive home to process this sermon & process through my thoughts. My mind was flooded by so many things. I started thinking about graduating in 5 months and not truly knowing what I want to do with my life. That's hard since my major is a career. Then the Lord reminded me. This world isn't for you. This is just temporary. Focus on eternity. Sometimes I work myself up in fear or anxiety and have to remind myself there is absolutely no need for that. The Lord has plans. No matter my plans, they don't matter.
After a 3 hours drive I got to celebrate a birthday with such a sweet girl.
I absolutely love this girl. I was so blessed to get to celebrate her 26th birthday with her today. She is so full of joy….she could brighten anyones day!
